Most people arriving at a first spiritual love consultation have no idea what to expect, and the internet does not help. Descriptions swing between vague mysticism and aggressive sales pages. The reality is quieter than either.
It begins as a conversation
The opening part of a consultation is simply you talking. A good practitioner will let the story arrive in whatever order it comes out, and will not interrupt it with an offer. You should not be asked for payment details before you have even explained why you got in touch.
Expect questions that are more ordinary than mystical: how long the relationship lasted, what the last conversation was like, what you have already tried, who else is involved, how you are sleeping. These are the details that make guidance specific rather than generic.
What should be explained to you
- What form of practice, if any, is being suggested and what it involves
- What it is not intended to do, stated as clearly as what it is
- How long it takes, and what happens afterwards
- The complete fee, before you agree to anything
- Your right to think about it, and to decline
What should never happen
You should never be told that a specific outcome is guaranteed, that a person will return by a particular date, or that a success rate can be quoted. You should never be told you are cursed, especially not by someone offering to remove it for a fee. You should never be pressed to decide immediately, and you should never be asked for more money once work is underway.
How you should feel afterwards
Calmer, usually, and clearer about your own thinking — even if nothing has been resolved. If you finish a consultation feeling frightened, rushed or ashamed, that is information about the practitioner rather than about you.
