Guidance for couples who are still together
Not every relationship that needs attention is in crisis. Many couples arrive simply worn down: less patient with each other than they used to be, no longer talking about anything beyond logistics, unsure when the warmth left.
A consultation gives that situation a name and some structure. What changed, and when? What does each person believe the other wants? What has quietly been given up on? These questions are more useful than any prediction.
Guidance for one person thinking alone
Often only one partner is ready to look at things. That is entirely workable. A consultation with one person focuses on your own clarity — what you want, what you can accept, what you would regret — rather than on strategies for changing somebody else.
Nothing here is used to influence a partner who has not asked for anything. That boundary is fixed.
- Understanding a recurring conflict rather than re-fighting it
- Working out what you actually want from the relationship
- Preparing for an honest conversation you have been avoiding
- Setting boundaries that protect your wellbeing
- Deciding, without pressure, whether to continue
Traditional practice as support
Where it is welcomed, quiet traditional practice can accompany the reflection — for calm, patience and goodwill in the household. It is offered as cultural support, with no claim to produce a particular outcome and no obligation to take part.

Questions
Common questions
Both. Most consultations are with one person, but couples are welcome where both take part freely.
